Training Manuals

Having written a manual for a gundog course that I co-delivered, I was persuaded (read that as bullied) into writing a positive gundog training manual. This first volume is now published and went on sale at Selby Game fair.

The manual covers teaching:

• Heelwork

• Sit Stay

• Steadiness to fall

• Stopping to whistle

• Retrieving

• Recall to whistle

• Directional work

• Quartering

• Whistle cues

The manual costs £12 plus £1 p&p

A further gundog manual is planned that will cover:

• Blind retrieves

• Increasing the distance and difficulty of retrieves

• Steadiness to shot

• Introduction to game

• etc.
